Cuttack-A emerged champions in the Under-19 Inter-District Cricket Tournament, defeating Cuttack-B by three wickets on the last day of their four-day final match at Ravenshaw University ground in Cuttack today.
Earlier in the four-day semifinals, Cuttack-A thrashed Bhubaneswar-B by an innings and 149 runs on the last day at Ravenshaw University ground, while Cuttack-B coasted to a six-wicket win over Balasore on the penultimate day at Bidanasi ground.
Ravenshaw University Registrar Smarapriya Mishra handed over the trophies and cash prizes at the closing function. Champions Cuttack-A received Rs 10,000 and runners-up Cuttack-B Rs 5,000. Host Odisha Cricket Association joint-secretary Sanjib Kumar Dutta and state under-19 team coach Sovan Dev, were present on the occasion.
